Under Manager Cornelius “Connie” Mack, the Philadelphia Athletics won five World Series championships! Some great players that Mack managed were third baseman Frank “Home Run” Baker, catcher Gordon “Mickey” Cochrane, second baseman Eddie Collins, first baseman Jimmie Foxx, left fielder Al Simmons, and pitchers Robert “Lefty” Grove, Charles “Chief” Bender, Eddie Plank, and George “Rube” Waddell.
