525. The Rubinoos
The Rubinoos are a Berkeley band! In 1977, the band released its debut album titled The Rubinoos, and it featured a superb song, “Rock and Roll is Dead.” Also, The Rubinoos produced the theme song for the 1984 movie Revenge of the Nerds. In addition, on the band’s 2019 album From Home, two spectacular songs are “Phaedra” and “Honey from the Honeycomb.” Therefore, my 525th video features The Rubinoos. In this video, I asked The Rubinoos’ Jon Rubin a question, and singer-songwriter Chuck Prophet appears in this video because he and Tommy Dunbar of The Rubinoos co-wrote the songs for the band’s 2019 album.
