In September 1980, Sharon Jones became the first African-American woman executive in Major League Baseball when Oakland’s Walter Haas hired her! Also, in 1987, Sharon spoke out against an MLB owner’s racist remark! So, my 111th video features her. Thanks to Gary Eng for filming the poem.
