112. Dallas Green

In 1980, all four Philadelphia teams reached the finals! First, the New York Islanders defeated the Flyers for their first of four consecutive Stanley Cups. Second, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Sixers for their first of five championships in the 1980s. Third, the Phillies defeated the Kansas City Royals for their first World Series win. Finally, the Oakland Raiders defeated the Eagles for their second Super Bowl victory on January 25, 1981. Thus, it was an amazing year for the “City of Brotherly Love!”

When the Phillies won the 1980 Fall Classic, their marvelous manager was Dallas Green! So, my 112th video features him. Thanks to John Anthony De Leon for filming the poem.
